Simply Christians, meeting at 2377 Dibble Road, in Warrenville, SC welcomes you to the Aiken area. The church of Christ on Dibble Road is a group of non-denominational Christians who are dedicated to the Holy Scriptures, striving to live in accordance with its precepts (Acts 2:42; 1 Corinthians 4:6; Jude 3).
We Are Not A Denomination
Neither are we inter-denominational. It is our sincere desire to be non-denominational. It is our wish and purpose to wear no other name than Christ’s and to be known simply as Christians, members of the body of Christ – the Church of Christ. Such was clearly true of the Lord’s people in the first century (Acts 11:26; 1 Peter 4:16; Ephesians 1:22-23; Colossians 1:18; Romans 16:16). We refer to ourselves as the Church of Christ, the Lord’s church, or some other scriptural description, not in an attempt to be “sectarian,” but on the contrary, to identify ourselves as the church belonging to Christ. Those who want to be saved must move toward God in an obedient faith. In (Hebrews 11:6) we read, “Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.” Genuine faith is produced when man inclines his mind to God’s instructions i.e. His word, which in turn points him towards God, and he who fears Yahweh and works righteousness (obeying His commandments) will be found acceptable before Him (Acts 10:35; Psalms 119:172).
Students of the Bible understand that sin creates a gap between God and man (Isaiah 59:2), and in order to be saved, man must be forgiven. A dangerous misconception that is widely accepted by the religious world concerning how one is saved from sin, is that the alien sinner must say, what is commonly known by many as the “sinner’s prayer.” When Bible students make an honest appeal to diligently investigate the scriptures regarding salvation, it will become apparent that there is no reference to the “sinner’s prayer” or the recitation of such. I have been asked on several occasions, “Are you the pastor?” What most have in mind when asking this question is the modern-day denominational “pastoral system of government” in which the local minister presides over the local church.
When I explain to individuals that I’m not a pastor, but simply an evangelist, preacher or minister of the gospel, it seems to generate much confusion. It is not because I am unable to convey my thoughts, but rather it is a failure on their part to understand how the term pastor is used according to scriptures. It is easy to use a term or phrase and apply it to a person or thing without understanding its true meaning. The term pastor is an example of such.

Many are growing disenchanted with present religious forms which originated in the middle ages and have become meaningless. There is displeasure with denominational structures and dogma. Some, because of such views, have even decided that Christianity is not relevant today. We believe they have made that decision because they are not sufficiently acquainted with the Scriptures to be able to distinguish between the relevant gospel of Christ and what men over the centuries have attempted to add to it.

One cannot read the Bible without reading about the plan that God has revealed to save man. Scriptures are clear regarding what one must do to be saved, and those who are honest and willing to obey can know what God requires of man to be saved. Read more…

The question, “Does God exist?” challenges every person. To deny His existence is, in essence, to deny the reality of the universe and life. To admit it is to acknowledge Him as the greatest of all Realities.

“That they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in
me, and I in you.”
In the Garden of Gethsemane, we find the anointed One praying just before He is to be crucified. He prayed to the Father, “I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me” (John 17:20-21).

“Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ” (Colossians 2:16-17).
Many people are confused today about what they should do in relation to the Sabbath. Some feel the Sabbath, the seventh day of the week, is still the day of worship. Some believe it is to be observed but that it is now the first day of the week.
